CD-Cover analysis

I analysed JLS's CD cover:

The genre was depicted through the CD cover as i could tell by their ethnicity that their genre would be R&B, as well as their casual clothing and having the 'pretty boy' look. The front cover image itself i could tell by the body language that their genre would be R&B. they had the normal and casual look.

Colours/connotations: the ccolours on the CD cover are dull and pale with having under their name JLS their represented primary colours. This represents the individual singers in JLS.

On the CD cover it has images of themselves in a casual way. They maybe showing this because this would engage the target audiences interests.

Representations: The JLS represent young casual black boys who are into R&B as well as POP.

JLS's target audience would be young teenage girls, also on the CD cover they have their own song lyrics, this could be so that the fans could sing along and wont feel left out.

The features of the CD cover are having pictures of themselves, still going for the pretty/good boy' look to go for the niche audience of young people.
